Uruguayan Stew

The Uruguayan Stew is a delicious and nutritious combination of vegetables, lamb meat, sausages, and corn. A balanced option that gathers all the necessary nutrients for a complete meal. Prepare it in a large pot with oil, onions, peppers, garlic, bacon, sausages, lamb, tomato paste, vegetables, rice, and peas. A comforting delight.

In a large pot, heat tablespoons of oil and fry the onions, peppers, and garlic until golden.

Add the bacon and then the sausages and lamb, frying for about 10 minutes.

Season with salt, oregano, and pepper, add the tomato paste and chopped vegetables, covering everything with water and bringing to a simmer over medium-low heat.

Occasionally stir, add more water if necessary, and cook until the vegetables are tender. Add rice and cook for an additional 15 minutes.

When serving, add peas and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

Ingredients

½ gram of Lamb strips

½ gram of Cube of beef sirloin

100 grams of Cube of bacon

300 grams of Sliced sausage

2 Chopped onion

2 Chopped red pepper

2 Chopped garlic cloves

2 Sliced carrot

3 Cubed potatoes

2 Cubed sweet potatoes

1 Cubed pumpkin

2 Sliced corn on the cob

1 Pinch of salt

1 pinch of Oregano

1 pinch of Ground pepper

3 tablespoons of Spoons of oil

2 cups of Rice

500 grams of Tomato paste

Water

1 can of Cooked peas

1 Pinch of chopped parsley

Preparation

Step 1 : In a large pot, heat tablespoons of oil and fry the onions, peppers, and garlic until golden.

Step 2 : Then, add the bacon and sauté lightly before incorporating the sausage and lamb, frying everything for about 10 minutes without stopping stirring.

Step 3 : Season the stew with salt, oregano, and ground pepper to taste, add the tomato paste, and sauté a bit more.

Step 4 : Next, add the chopped vegetables and cover everything with water, bringing to a simmer over medium-low heat.

Step 5 : Occasionally stir to prevent sticking, and if necessary, add more water to prevent the stew from drying out too much.

Step 6 : When the vegetables are tender, add the rice and cook for an additional 15 minutes.

Step 7 : When ready to serve, add the peas and sprinkle with chopped parsley over the stew.
