Ingredients

400 grams of Steak

700 grams of Chopped onion

1 Chopped morrón (bell pepper)

1 Chopped green chili

4 Chopped garlic cloves

2 tablespoons of Ground cumin

500 grams of Flour

200 centiliters of Water

1 tablespoon of Salt

80 grams of Melted beef fat

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this recipe, first chop the meat into small pieces with a sharp knife.

Step 2 : In a large pot with hot olive oil, sauté the onion, morrón, and garlic until they are soft.

Step 3 : Then, add the chili, cumin, and chopped meat.

Step 4 : Cook the mixture for 5 minutes, cover the pot, and turn off the heat.

Step 5 : Let the mixture rest for 20 minutes to allow the meat to finish cooking.

Step 6 : Once the filling mixture has rested and is ready, let it cool completely before proceeding.

Step 7 : Meanwhile, prepare the dough with the necessary ingredients and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Step 8 : Then, portion the dough and form discs for the empanadas.

Step 9 : To assemble the empanadas, fill them with the prepared mixture and seal the edges well.

Step 10 : Bake at moderate temperature until golden brown, usually between 12 and 20 minutes.

Step 11 : Once ready, serve hot, and you can suggest adding a splash of lemon at the moment of serving to enhance the flavors.
